Homework Policy

Homework provides your child with an opportunity to apply what has been learned at school. We ask that you take an active role in your child’s homework.

Please provide a time and place for assignments to be completed, see that all assignments are completed to the best of his/her ability and are returned to school when due.

Please note that homework will neither be given on Fridays, over holidays, or during PASS testing, nor will it be given on a night when students are involved in a school program.  

We recognize that home and outside activities also have educational value; therefore, it is our policy not to overburden students with homework. Homework will be limited to 10-20 minutes for grades K-2, 30-40 minutes for grades 3-4, and 50-60 minutes for grade 5.  We do expect our students to read nightly.
