Personal Message

I was born and raised in Waynesboro, Georgia. After graduation, I attended the University of Georgia to pursue a degree in Education. My first teaching job was in Louisville, Georgia.  From there I spent some years teaching in Augusta, Georgia before deciding to move to Beaufort which has now been home for 20+ years. Most of my career was spent either as an early grade classroom teacher or a K-5 literacy teacher.  Most recently, I was a literacy teacher at St. Helena Elem..  I am now happily a MOES Owl!

I live on Lady's Island with my husband, two dogs and three cats.  It is quite a zoo, but I am open to adopting any animal in need!

My goal this school year is to spread my passion for reading to everyone I meet while supporting MOES teachers and students.
